The Junior Center is proud to celebrate over 65 years of bringing quality arts and science programs to Bay Area schools and community sites. JCAS offers residencies to schools and community centers in the Bay Area in visual arts, Makerspace education, and STEAM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our programs are designed on a foundation of arts integration, creative youth development, and attention to supporting and growing social emotional skills.  We are learner-centered -students are encouraged to investigate issues and themes relevant to their lives, their communities, and the evolving world. Through thoughtful creative exploration students gain skills with critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our programs offer students the opportunity to work with practicing professionals from the community and focus on first-hand learning experiences in the arts and sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are able to pivot our programs to online as necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residency programs are custom tailored to meet the needs of each school based on budget, time and curricular needs. Residencies can last anywhere between 3 weeks to 28 weeks. Cost is dependent on length and number of sessions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
