Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating the vibrant ecosystem of artists, young people, educators, and community partners who make this work possible. Set along the beautiful shores of Lake Merritt, this special evening features local flavor, incredible art, and a look at the powerful impact of our youth programs.
The Mission: At the Junior Center of Art and Science, we believe creativity and curiosity are essential tools for understanding and caring for the world around us. Through hands-on experiences in art, science, and technology, young people explore, experiment, and grow into the next generation of environmental stewards, makers and artists.
The Impact: Every year, our programs reach over 6,000 young people and their families throughout the East Bay. We offer a sliding scale for all our programs, and 71% of families take advantage of the scholarships we provide.
Event Highlights
- Affordable Local Art: Browse and buy from Wild Alchemy, a curated selection of art from contemporary East Bay artists. All pieces are graciously donated and priced under $500.
- Youth Showcase: Experience a dynamic showcase highlighting the brilliant work of our young makers and thinkers.
- Oakland Eats & Drinks: Sample bites from local favorites like Reem’s, Aburaya, and more, alongside craft cocktails and mocktails mixed by local bartenders.
- Community & Connection: Connultural hub thrive.
Where your money goes: 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales and the art auction directly support scholarships and access to our popular camps, after-school programs, and workshops.
