WINTER AFTER-SCHOOL CLASSES
Sept. 9 – Nov. 10
Create and explore with us after-school! Our classes are engaging hands-on fun for young artists, makers, and inventors aged 6-13. Classes are small, student-centered experiences where youth can build skills, experiment with a variety of media, and connect with their creative selves.
Classes Offered:
Carpentry
Fridays, 9/9 -11/4, 4:30-6:30 PM
Ages 6-12, $125-$325
Students will learn to use a complement of hand tools during a course that emphasizes safe tool use, practical problem-solving, and creative development. Projects increase in difficulty as experience grows. Students will begin with projects such as a small toy boat and work up to full-sized.
Creative Technology
Tuesdays, 9/13-11/8, 4:00-5:15 PM
Ages 9-11, $125-$325
In this STEAM class, we’ll explore the world of creative technology! You’ll use design materials and edtech tools like Makey Makey, Scratch and robotics tools to design solutions to engineering challenges.
Art Adventures
Thursdays, 9/15-11/10, 4:00-5:15 PM
Ages 6-8, $100-$300
Students will adventure through creative processes using a variety of media and techniques including drawing, painting, collage and more. Activities focus on artistic skill building and creative thinking through individual and collaborative art projects.
SLIDING SCALE PRICING
All JCAS classes are made available to families on a sliding scale. Families choose the amount they are able to pay, considering the top end of our scale is how much it costs us to run the class. We encourage families to help support our efforts to make programs available to those in need.

REFUND POLICY
All purchases include a $50 non-refundable deposit to cover administrative costs.
If you are unable to attend a class you have registered for and have to cancel for any reason you can request a credit for 100% of the purchase amount, less the $50 non-refundable deposit. The credit can be applied to another class or camp with a start date no later than one calendar year from the date your original class was slated to begin.
You may also request a refund as follows:
If you cancel prior to two weeks from the start date of the class you are registered for, you can receive a 100% refund less a $50 non-refundable deposit.
If you cancel within two weeks from the start date of the class you are registered for, you can receive a 50% refund less a $50 non-refundable deposit.
If you cancel within one week from the start date of the class you are registered for no refunds are offered.
