Join us for Thanksgiving break camp with Teaching Artist Rachel Anne Palacios.
Art Around The World: using a variety of materials and concepts students will adventure through the rich world of art making from Otomi inspired Papel Amate Art, Repujado/Mexican Tin Art to Ruth Asawa inspired cardboard roll art and more!
Rachel Anne is a self-taught, multicultural artist, her pieces reflect the respect she has for culture, religion, traditional values, elders, and the cycle of life and death. Palacios grew up amongst Oakland’s cultural diversity in a household headed by her mother and grandmother who was a mentor, teacher, coach, and friend.
SLIDING SCALE PRICING
All JCAS classes are made available to families on a sliding scale. Families choose the amount they are able to pay, considering the top end of our scale is how much it costs us to run the class. We encourage families to help support our efforts to make programs available to those in need.
If the sliding scale prices are still out of your family’s budget, please email us at [email protected] for financial aid. All requests for financial aid must be made before November 7.
REFUND POLICY
All purchases include a $50 non-refundable deposit to cover administrative costs.
If you are unable to attend a camp you have registered for and have to cancel for any reason you can request a credit for 100% of the purchase amount, less the $50 non-refundable deposit. The credit can be applied to another class or camp with a start date no later than one calendar year from the date your original camp was slated to begin.
You may also request a refund as follows:
If you cancel prior to two weeks from the start date of the camp you are registered for, you can receive a 100% refund less a $50 non-refundable deposit.
If you cancel within two weeks from the start date of the camp you are registered for, you can receive a 50% refund less a $50 non-refundable deposit.
If you cancel within one week from the start date of the camp you are registered for no refunds are offered.
